Soon it was raining too hard to make sensible progress and I was getting cold so I stopped in this cafe for a rejuvenating bowl of noddle soup.

This chap came to Thailand at the age of 7 as a refugee from the Burmese regime. He fought with the KMT between 1982 and 1994 when they made peace. He now sells tea.

This is a traditional mud hut from the area. Built for the tourists I suspect, but occupied by dogs.
